Turns out there is a quick fix.
Floor fix steamvr.
Temporarily move and rotate the playspace.
But its quite minor for me luckily.
Restarting the vive a few times helps sometimes.
Several warning methods can be configured.
I saw someone released a new overlay tool for steamvr that had various features including ability to fix the floor level.
After taking multiple measurements of the floor height in different places.
Move controllers a few centimers up because they do not get tracked on the floor.
This is a quick way to fix it.
When switching between alvr and vrdesktop the floor height gets messed up.
Fixes the floor height in steam vr.
Go to steamvr settings and in the developer section you can use quick calibrate put your hmd on the floor in the middle of your play area click once and everything is fixed.
Allows to quickly switch chaperone geometry and settings while in vr.
I did notice my floor is slightly tilted too as when i do the floorfix from different corners of the chaperone space i get consistently different results.
You need a play area where your sensors can see the floor.
Put controllers and headset on floor and turn them on while on the ground 5.

You can also change orientation and other features through advanced setting in room setup.
This fix also translates to floor height in steamvr.
Floor position is completely wrong oculus rift and there s no way to fix it thanks a lot to the devs for removing the room setup feature for no reason steamvr games no longer work at all because the floor position is level with the headset.

I have seen it consuming memory faster as well possibly some steamvr update made the memory leak issue even worse.
Issue upon starting steamvr after a fresh reboot the floor height is either to low or to high.
I ll try to have a look at it in the near future if there would be some easy way to make a workaround for it.
