Fix Vinyl Whiteboard Scratches

Whiteboard surfaces are made of durable porcelain or vinyl but over time they become scratched and discolored.

Allow the vinyl upholstery to dry before continuing. Wait about 72 hours before marking on the board and using it as you normally would. Allow at least an hour and a half for the coating to dry completely. Rub a toothpick back and forth over the scratches with soft pressure.

If you can t get ahold of whiteboard cleaner just use a damp cloth. Rub the solution with a paint pad evenly over the scratch or the entire board depending on the damage. Use a paintbrush and put a single layer of the surface over the white board. A small amount of solution should be ample in most cases.

Resurfacing is a project that you can do on your own with a few supplies from the local hardware store. Let the board dry for at least one hour. Don t substitute in other cleaners as many of them will simply strip off more of the essential coating that allows you to erase the markers.
