Replacing the carpet in your rv can help update its style and decor as well as the comfort. The slide carpet is mostly covered by the sofa and dining table so never walked on and the bedroom is a no go zone for doggies and shoes. Fortunately most newer rvs have little or no carpet in other words the industry appears to have gotten the message. I have a 99 jayco eagle lite 5ver with no slide at about 4800 lbs.
